Special Education Paraprofessional
North Phoenix charter school, Choice Academies dba Adams Traditional Academy, is looking for a full time Special Education Paraprofessional. Ideal candidate will provide instructional support in small groups, provide one-on-one instruction, modify curriculum material, collects data on students and implements behavior management plan.
We offer a highly professional atmosphere where teachers and support staff are valued and supported. Administrators are “hands-on” offering mentoring support and training throughout the academic year to ensure that both students and staff excel.
Our rigorous curriculum includes Elements in Literature, Singapore Math, and Excellence in Writing. We follow the Core Knowledge Scope and Sequence for history/geography and lab-based sciences which are taught within a collaborative teaching environment. Our curriculum selections are research based and proven. We follow a direct-instruction teaching model that includes a strong hands-on integration with science and the humanities. High expectations are set for both students and staff.

Part Time High School Music Teacher
Choice Academies, Inc. is seeking teachers for our Music classes for the 2021-2022 school year. Our highly successful and sought after flagship school, Jefferson Preparatory (grades 9-12), in north Phoenix is looking for highly qualified, passionate, and energetic teachers to help us continue to grow. We are looking for applicants that can teach vocal & instrumental music. The assignment would include on vocal class, one instrumental class, one music history/appreciation, and one class of piano keyboarding. Our class sizes are very small (currently less than 20). We are on an A/B schedule so the successful candidate would only be teaching two classes a day. We offer a highly professional atmosphere where teachers are valued and supported. Candidates with high technical skills who would be willing to manage our online concurrent options and website will be considered for a full time position.

Our teachers must be certificated in the state of Arizona or pass the AEPA/NES professional knowledge and content area exams and have a valid fingerprint clearance card. Choice Academies offers competitive salaries and a 401K with a 5% company match.

Food Service Worker
Choice Academies’ charter school is looking to immediately fill Food Service Cashier/ Server position for the 2021-2022 school year. This part time position is categorized as ten month/school year, working approximately 25-30 hours per week. Applicant must possess or be able to obtain a D.P.S. IVP fingerprint clearance card, as well as possess a G.E.D. or a high school diploma.
The perfect candidate for this position is energetic, skilled, organized, and able to multi-task. The candidate must enjoy working with both students and staff. As a Food Service Worker the applicant will be assisting the Kitchen Supervisor in prepping and serving nutritious and wholesome meals daily to over three hundred students and staff members. The ability to work on a computer point of sale system and familiarity with WordWare are a plus but not required.
Ideal candidates are patient, reliable and quick learners. All Food Service Workers must possess a food handlers’ certificate in addition to the IVP fingerprint clearance card. A basic understanding of NSLP food portions and standards is also helpful. Other job-related duties as requested such as assisting in stocking food products as they are delivered, maintaining supplies, equipment washing, kitchen utensils, floors and other service areas. We work as a team to deliver awesome customer service.
